1. Overview
ISO45001 is a new occupational health and safety management system standard used by ISO International Standardization Organization to replace OHSAS 18001. The release of ISO 45001 in March 2018 marks an important step in improving occupational health and safety standards worldwide. This new standard is used to help organizations around the world ensure the health and safety of their workers.
An important reason for the emergence of occupational health and safety management system is the need of world economic globalization and international trade development. The basic principle of WTO is "fair competition", which includes environmental and occupational health and safety issues.
Occupational health and safety management system is a management system standard applicable to any organization. The purpose is to reduce and prevent the loss of life, property and time caused by accidents through management.
